£127k McLaren MP4-12C tops the bill at BCA Auction

A host of luxury and performance cars went under the hammer at the BCA Blackbushe Top Car Auction this week, including a McLaren MP4-12C and a nearly-new Jaguar F-Type. BCA said, "the high-end prestige and sports car market has a strong following with buyers and we have seen lots of interest in high value vehicles during 2013, with bidders prepared to invest six-figure sums for the right vehicle." First Sight: Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The new S-Class is replacing a model series which is the world number 1 in the luxury class, and of which around 485,000 have been produced since its introduction in 1998. The previous W220 series was much admired on introduction and still seems competitive to many eyes but will be replaced by the latest model at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.   Specification The new flagship model by Mercedes-Benz is larger than its predecessor in every respect.

But this isn’t really a concept, it’s the 2011 Honda Civic and it will be on sale in the US by the Spring. Although it’s never particularly sensible to judge a car from a sketch – car companies do like to employ a little artistic license when rendering product yet to be – it seems clear that the 2011 Civic is going to get styling evolved from the Honda CR-Z with a bit of current Civic Type-R aggression thrown in as standard.
